Douglas Busking / Next Rehearsal – Monday 3rd DecPosted: December 2, 2012
Thanks to everyone who turned out today for the first of our two Christmas busking sessions in Douglas.
We had dry and very mild weather which made it all rather pleasant, and we got the chance to practice a few of our concert numbers to boot.
Particular thanks this time around go to David for bringing along his alto at short notice, and for joining me in an ad-hoc slash-swung version of Good King Wenceslas at the end !
… and a “get well soon e-card” to Jane M. who appears to be taking on the Norovirus bug on behalf of the band 😉
The score on the door – £143 – and some pennies (Ben and I lost interest in the coppers after a while), which is a pretty good take on a Sunday afternoon.
I’m looking forward to our session on Sat. 15th, as town should be heaving then !
… check the pic at the end of this post – I thought it would be nice to have a view of how we’re doing.
See you all at tomorrow’s rehearsal at Marown Church – 6:30pm arrival please, for a prompt start at 6:45pm.
