First Rehearsal – Next Steps

Hi all,

It feels good to be back !  Home on the Range was challenging as expected, but I know it will be spectacular once we get to grips with the intricacies.

The other two new / oldies – “Java Jive” and “Putting on the Ritz” went very well indeed – and I might choose one or two other golden oldies to resurface as we progress through the term.

… and Cool Saints showed that even after a sizeable break, brushing up the existing stock isn’t likely to be too taxing.

Re Busking, I’ll make enquiries with Douglas Town Council, and Ray will ask about playing at Nobles – all from 14th Dec onwards due t folks; availability.

For the moment, we’re not planning on doing a Christmas concert.  I’ll review this in early November, but please don’t count on it !

In the meanwhile, can you please make sure you have sheet music ready for the list below – I’ll endeavour to put the files onto the website by Friday.

As I mentioned last night, things are very unsettled for me personally at the moment, so I’d appreciate your support in keeping things ticking along in the next couple of months.

For next week, let’s have a go at … Doin’ the Voom Voom, Ja-Da and Hornpipe Fun – plus anything else we have time for / I arrive with at the last moment 🙂

Cheers Jem
