Corrin Home Concert

Hi all,

Just a quick catch-up after last night’s concert / meal.

Marlyn (who asked us to play there) sent a really nice note last night, sending us a big thank you (in capitals), and saying that the audience really appreciated us.  The same feedback came from Pauline, who knows many of the faces down there.

So ..  a particular well-done to Susie, Matt and David for their duet / solo performances, and an encouragement for others to follow suit ….

… and it was great to have a nice meal of gargantuan proportions, and a couple of beers to celebrate the night and mark David’s defection to the East !

We’ll take a break over the TT fortnight (partly as Ben has exams and will have his head down), and the next slot will be on 13th June.  Probably David’s last, so we’ll organise a team photo in casual gear and with Saxes !

Take care – see you on the 13th.

Cheers Jem

We’re On !

Hi all,

Just had confirmation from Marlyn that the Corrin Home is “Go”.

… so the count is exactly a week – Weds eve 25th May.

I’ll go chat to the Creek to see if we can get a table booked ….

Let me know asap if you can’t come to the team-meal, or if you want to invite someone as I’ll need to give them numbers.

Cheers Jem

Prep for upcoming concert

Hi all,

Last time we were together, we agreed to put on a concert at the Corrin Home on the week before TT practice.  That gives us just 3 rehearsal sessions including tonight, to get ourselves up to speed.

The four tunes in red below are my focus points in terms of work needed to get them up to standard.  We’ll run through these tonight to check where we are and make final decisions about the programme at the end of the session.

Look forward to seeing you tonight at 7 for a 7:15 start.

Cheers Jem
